2-1-1

2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people with important health and human services. The implementation of 2-1-1 is spearheaded by the United Way and information and referral agencies in states and local communities. The United Way and the Alliance for Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) strongly support federal funding so that every American has access to this essential service.
2-1-1 is available in the following Central Kentucky counties:
Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Madison, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford

Making Appointments
If you know that you will need an interpreter, tell a staff member as far ahead as you can.

“I Speak” Cards
The “I Speak” card shows what language a person speaks. It is printed in English and in the primary language. This card can be used to tell a provider for which language an interpreter is needed. These cards will be available at all local county outreach offices and with all other Gateway CAA programs.  Obtain an “I Speak” card used by the U.S. Census Bureau.
